Perennial Hibiscus

These very large flowers are my exclamation points for the August garden. Looking around the landscape, there's a lot of green, and then, POW! Color!

They are a little late to appear in the springtime, but they quickly reclaim their space in the garden when they do emerge. Mine have gotten a little crowded since I planted them too closely to hydrangeas, so I will have to move them eventually. I've also seen the hummingbird visit them as well.
